title welcome to kindergarten

Hello, Families,

My name is Mr. Dennis. As the new kindergarten teacher, I am excited to build a relationship with you this 2024-2025 school year. I am introducing myself so you can all become familiar with me. I have been an educator for the last 14 years. I am huge on the implementation of social-emotional skills such as self-regulation, classroom expectations, and following routines. As a classroom family, we strive to create a safe space and atmosphere where we can educate based on our scholar's individual needs and creativity and progress academically to their full potential.

Kindergarten is a significant grade. It is part of preparing our scholars for meaningful social interactions, ELA, and Mathematics skills to build a solid academic foundation. This solid foundation can only be built with us: our scholars, families, and educators. I want us to work together to make that solid foundation and bridge the gap between home and school so each scholar can reach their full potential. With that said, in classroom K-214, we are working hard to strengthen our social-emotional skills, classroom expectations, routine, and classroom family. Let's make the rest of the academic year enthusiastic, creative, and a safe space together.

Important reminders

Please sign up for ClassDojo. I will communicate with you all through ClassDoJo. Remember, parents, guardians, and families, you are our scholars' first teachers.
